Adapting to Change Workshop

Change is all around. Moving through change as well as leading others through change successfully requires thoughtful planning and innovative options. This course will provide you with a clearer understanding of what happens to people when an organizational change initiative occurs. It also introduces the tools and techniques you can use to more effectively lead change efforts in your organization, ultimately allowing you to leave the course feeling better prepared to address the myriad of changes that come your way.

  • Successful completion of this course will increase your ability to:

    • Understand why change initiatives fail and how to ensure their success.

    • Implement a framework to actively lead change efforts.

    • Plan for the success of future change through close evaluation of the current initiative.

    • Identify, acknowledge, and manage resistance to ensure an efficient transition.

    • Apply techniques for increasing and gaining commitment to the change.

  • This course is designed for those being impacted by change, as well as mid-managers leading others through change.

  • Melissa Martin lives to communicate, it is through communication that she continues to be a life-long learner. Melissa is an experienced facilitator of workplace development and college classes. She has applied these skills to assist healthcare systems connect better with their consumers and each other for better health outcomes. She delivers relevant, engaging content to students and professionals. Her areas of expertise include communication, inclusivity, workplace success, strategic planning, visioning, team-building, and professional development.

    Melissa is a certified facilitator for Diversity, Equity, Inclusion and Belonging, Five Behaviors of a Functional Team, DiSC Personality Assessment, Bridges out of Poverty, Crucial Conversations, and Workplace Stability. She lives in a multi-generational household where she enjoys Sunday dinners with family and friends. When she’s not teaching, she likes road trips, walking her dog and cooking for her family.

    Come to Melissa’s class expecting to learn, communicate and engage.
